Slow Horses

Season 3; 6 episodes. Watched on Apple TV+

Rating: 5/5

This time, Jackson Lamb and his team of disgraced MI5 agents are caught in a conspiracy that threatens to expose a buried MI5 secret in London, linked to a romantic affair in Istanbul.

As they try to unravel the mystery, they face danger, betrayal, and unexpected twists. Will they be able to save MI5 and themselves from the real tigers lurking in the shadows?

This series has a lot more violence in it than the previous two series. It’s reminiscent in some respects of 007 movies. There’s lots of action.

The characters and actors are the same as Season 1 and 2, and the story is just as good.

The thing to love/hate about Slow Horses is Jackson Lamb. He would have to be one of the most unpleasant characters ever seen on television since the days of Steptoe and Son (just showing my age here) where I always reckoned I could literally smell Steptoe. Lamb is the same. Gary Oldman is absolutely magnificent in this role.

You temptress, we are trying to resist subscription TV. I loved series 1. You are making it very hard to resist the next two series.
Seriously, thank you for your great reviews.

    1. You need to line up a whole lot of programs you want to watch, then purchase for one month – that would give you a free month to start with plus one to pay for, and then you cancel it. It’s easy really. My reviews would be a good place to start to create a list! Just saying.
